Attorney Matt Lasher (Knox McLaughlin Gornall & Sennett, P.C.) will present on recent changes to labor and employment law, with a particular emphasis on how administrative agencies at the federal level are changing how employers navigate labor relations, collective bargaining activity, wages, and other employee issues. Specific topics will include:
- Recent NLRB decisions, including Cemex Construction Material Pacific LLC and Stericycle Inc, and how they impact the union organizing process and your employee handbooks
- The Department of Labor’s proposed rulemaking under the FLSA and efforts to increase the salary threshold
- The Duty of Reasonable Accommodation and how employers’ obligations vary under different laws enforced by the EEOC
