    The Human Resource Management Association of North Central PA invites you to join us for our Human Resource Management “Legal Forum”

     

    This Legal Forum will include the latest employment and labor law updates and developments affecting employers.  Hot topics to be covered will include the ACA, FLSA update, and medical marijuana.  Attorney David E. Mitchell will be presenting.

    David E. Mitchell, Esquire is a senior associate with Campbell Durrant Beatty Palombo & Miller, P.C., where has represented both private and public sector employers since 2007.   Prior to joining Campbell Durrant, Mr. Mitchell advised private sector employers regarding labor and employment matters for three and half years in the Pittsburgh office of Jones Day.  Mr. Mitchell’s current clients include private companies, counties, municipalities, authorities and educational institutions.  Mr. Mitchell represents clients in labor arbitration hearings and at the collective bargaining table.  He also regularly counsels clients regarding labor and employment matters and represents clients before various governmental agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board, Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, U.S. Department of Labor, state and federal courts, and civil service commissions.  David attended Grove City College, where he obtained his undergraduate degree, and later earned a Master of Gerontological Studies degree at Miami University and a law degree at Duquesne University.

    A Membership Application is attached if you are interested in becoming a member for the 2016-2017 program year.  To take advantage of the Advanced Membership applications must be received by November 17th.  Please note the discount for those that are also SHRM National members.

    We offer business sponsorships for the monthly meetings. With the sponsorship, your company will have the opportunity to briefly discuss your products or services to the attendees at the beginning of the meeting.  Sponsorship only costs $50 ($25 for non-profit organizations).  A sponsorship agreement is attached.
